Weight Watchers Goal and Lifestyle Coaching

Well, as many of you know, I have been doing Weight Watchers for about a year and have lost 52 pounds.  I have FINALLY reached my goal weight and once I maintain that weight for 6 weeks, I will be considered a “lifetime member”–which basically means I’ve earned the privilege of not having to pay when I go to meetings (which, I might add, can be quite costly when you are slow at losing weight).  Regardless…the bigger news is this…I am starting my own coaching business.

Again, lots of you know that I have always wanted to go into coaching and have my own business, AND, throughout this whole weight loss journey, I’ve discovered an avenue for that to happen.  I have really become passionate about helping people not only lose weight, but do so with the intent to maintain a healthy lifestyle for the long haul.  I have realized for myself that struggling with weight is not just about making changes in food choices, its about making changes inside as well.  I don’t think I’m the only one for whom this is true, and I do think there are lots of people out there who could use support and encouragement with that part of the process…

After sharing my thoughts with my trainer at Moon Valley (who is also the fitness manager), she offered me the opportunity to begin my practice within the club.  Starting now, I am contracting out my services to Moon Valley as the health and lifestyle coach for their members.  I am so excited about this chance, and ask you all to say a little prayer that I don’t screw it up!!  I am beginning the process of becoming legit, so if anybody has any ideas about a catchy name for my business, I would love to hear them.  I’m stumped at this point!

Hope all of you are doing well!  Trish and Lyric are coming for a visit this Saturday so stayed tuned for pictures of the girls!

Labor Day Weekend

Chris and Taylor

Chris and Anne Marie came out for Labor Day weekend and we had a great time!  Of course, it was the first time I had seen them since the proposal, so we were excited to get started with the wedding plans.  We were actually able to do some fun dress shopping and look at some different reception sites and church options (via the Internet of course).  I was also very thrilled when she asked me to be the matron of honor and I will do my best to be the best support to her through this exciting time.  They have a tentative date of April 28th, but are still trying to confirm locations so don’t put anything in your calendar yet.

As promised, I wanted to post some more pictures of Taylor.  Anne Marie caught some good ones of her that I thought I would share.  She is a funny girl.  Very much into laughing, eating, and reading books these days.  She is doing a good job of repeating words back to you and is really starting to express her independence.

Please check back soon as we have a lot going on in the next few months and I’m going to try and post regularly.  Till then…
